Overview

Members of the University of Tokyo, such as full-time academic and administrative staff (excluding project researchers), and emeritus professor are eligible to apply for a new ECCS account by themselves. In contrast, other academic and administrative staff have until now been required to submit hard copies of all their application documents through a full-time academic and administrative staff (excluding a fixed-term project staff). This will now change as a new "application by proxy" function has been added in the UTokyo Account Application Menu (ID Workflow) to allow applicants to complete the application process online.

Terminology

• Applicants: full-time academic and administrative staff (excluding fixed-term project staff). Please note that only those who can prove their identity and affiliation can apply.
• Target: members of the University of Tokyo other than the above (excluding emeritus professors)

Application by Proxy

After logging in to the UTokyo Account Application Menu (ID Workflow) using their own UTokyo Accounts, applicants can select the appropriate application from the menu below and search the UTokyo Account of the target (click "対象者検索"). They can then choose the appropriate name from the search result and fill in all the other required information to apply.

• ECCS Application Form (by proxy)
  Access ECCS by using your UTokyo Account User ID and password. For more information, please refer to "New Account Application (for Academic and Administrative Staff, Researchers, etc.)"

• Application Form for Deletion of ECCS account (by proxy)
  Those who no longer wish to use ECCS, please be sure to submit an "Application for the Deletion of ECCS Account. For more information, please refer to Deleting your ECCS account

• Application Form for the Use of ECCS During a Leave of Absence (by proxy)
  When students take a leave of absence from the university due to academic reason, etc., they can only retain access to ECCS services with the permission of their academic supervisor, etc. For more information, please refer to "Use of ECCS during a leave of absence

• Application Form for Continued Use of ECCS (by proxy) ... to be automatically renewed from February, 2019
  Those who will remain in the university for the following academic year can continue to use ECCS by completing the application for continued use. Fore more information, please refer to "Procedure for Continued Use of ECCS"

• Application Form for ECCS Limited Account (by proxy) ... to be terminated at the end of the 2018 academic year
  Complete the application to provide those who do not have a UTokyo Account with access to ECCS. For more information, please refer to "ECCS Limited Account"(currently available only in Japanese)

Supplementary Information

• If the user is a student, an applicant must be an academic supervisor, etc.
• Applicants do not need to have an ECCS account when applying as a proxy.
