The Campus-wide Computing Research Division asks each organization (faculty, graduate school, institute, center, etc.) to bear the usage fee for the use of the various services. The usage fee for each service is as follows.

Educational Campus-wide Computing System (ECCS)

The use of ECCS has become free of charge for both students and academic and administrative staff from the 2019 academic year.

Accounts for training sessions

We will charge 1,000 yen per account in the current academic year．

Installation at Organization’s Expense

The usage fee for the "Wired LAN service provided by organization‘s expense" written on the page of "Use of mobile devices such as Laptops” (currently available only in Japanese) is as follows.

20 LAN ports is counted as one unit, and the total number of units installed by each organization is defined as ‘n’ (the count will be rounded up to the closest unit, so for any organization with less than 20 ports, n=1)．
For organizations managed by the same Accounts Division (e.g. Graduate Schools for Law and Politics and Graduate School of Public Policy), even though the invoicing will be done separately based on the ration of ports used by each individual organizations, the cost will be calculated based on the total number of LAN ports available and the number of units as mentioned above in the one Accounts Division.
A usage fee based on the number of units (n) installed by each organization in the current academic year will be charged.

Authentication Information Providing Service

With the information systems operated by organizations, we provide an Authentication Information Providing Service to authenticate a user using an ECCS username and password. A usage fee will be charged to each organization depending on the usage pattern of authentication information. Please refer to the following table.

In the case of “Daily forwarding of authentication information”, a fixed amount of the usage fee will be charged regardless of the system configurations.
With the other four services, we will charge a fee calculated by multiplying the unit price by the number of servers/terminals. However, the maximum chargeable amount of the four services is the same as the usage fee for "Daily forwarding of authentication information", a total of 300.000 yen per year. For example, if an organization uses 6 servers under "Use to authenticate from servers (outside the ECCS network)", the usage fee would be 60,000 yen x 6 servers=360,000 yen/year based on the table above. However, as this total amount is greater than the usage fee of 300,000 yen for the "Daily forwarding of authentication information”, the usage fee will be fixed at 300,000 yen/year.
Please contact us before utilizing the service if your organization plans to use multiple servers/terminals (over 10 servers/terminals) or anticipates frequent authentication access, as such activities may have a negative impact on the operation of the ECCS.
Besides usage fees, organizations are supposed to exchange a memorandum with the center (ITC) about system configurations and operation methods.

MailHosting Service

We will charge a usage fee to each organization for MailHosting Services separately from the ECCS usage fee. For more details, please refer to the usage fee on the web page of MailHosting (currently available only in Japanese).

WEB PARK (Web Hosting)

We will charge a usage fee to each organization for WEB PARK separately from the ECCS usage fee. For more details, please refer to the usage fee on the web page of WEB PARK (currently available only in Japanese).

DNS Hosting

We will charge a usage fee to each organization for DNS Hosting separately from the ECCS usage fee. For more details, please refer to the usage fee on the web page of DNS Hosting (currently available only in Japanese).

Large format printer service

We will charge a usage fee to each organization for use of the large format printer service separately from the ECCS usage fee. For more details, please refer to the usage fee on the web page of large format printer service.
