Use of Google Assignments

News

Assignments, an application of the learning management system in G Suite for Education, has become available from August 11, 2020. Accordingly, Assignments is now available with your ECCS Cloud Email (xxxx@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) without having to sign up for the beta version.

• Assignments will need to be used as a stand-alone service for the time being because Assignments has not yet been linked with ITC-LMS.

• For the features and usage of Assignments, please refer to the explanation on the Assignment's introduction page from Google Inc.

• Non-ECCS Cloud Mail users may be registered as “Students” with Assignments, but you must be a ECCS Cloud Mail users to be registered as an instructor.

• Due to the limitations of G Suite for Education, the originality report can only be used for up to 3 assignments per course. As of August 22, 2020, the originality report menu does not appear unless the language used for the Google account is English. In addition, currently (as of August 22, 2020) the originality report does not seem to check Japanese originality (problem was not detected even when a copy of the Japanese version of Wikipedia was used as a report).
